Why would the US Government deny the existence of Area 51? Especially when photographs and video evidence clearly show that it exists. Also, numerous people claim to have witnessed strange and paranormal goings on in the vicinity.

Chances are it is just a regular military base. But, why such intense security? Skeptics have suggested that the US Government denies it’s existence because it is not called Area 51. In fact, the government refers to as “Homey Airport” or “Groom Lake.”

Initially, the site became associated with the nuclear testing of the 50s and 60s. But does it also contain the dissected bodies and aircraft of aliens? We will never know, despite the claims of conspiracy theorists. Minefields, motion detectors, video security and armed guards protect the area. Unless you can get a job working as one of the private contractors or military personnel that are permitted to enter, you will never know what Area 51 is really all about.

Chances are you will never travel as far north as the isolated Norwegian island of Spitsbergen. This is an island which is 1,300km beneath the North Pole, and found in the remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago. And it is this precise remote location that is part of the reason you will find this mysterious and heavily guarded vault there.

Additionally, the frozen environment is not in an area of the earth that can be effected by tectonic plate activity. You will never gain access to this location unless you are a nominated plant breeder or researcher. The reason being that its sole purpose is to preserve the earth’s seed stocks in the case of the event of global disaster and humanity needing to start over.

The seeds are kept in specially sealed packets. Therefore, even if climate change melts the ice caps, the vault is 130m above sea level, so this would not affect the seeds. Experts estimate that the seeds could survive up to thousands of years thanks to the preservation-boosting permafrost.

Only a select few know the secret formula that gives Coca-Cola it’s unique edge in the world of cola brands, and this has been the case for over 130 years. A Civil War veteran with a morphine addiction originally concocted the formula. His intention was to create a recipe for a cure for that addiction.

He wished to combine the caffeine-rich kola bean with a non-alcoholic version of coca wine. Asa Candler eventually bought the formula, with much historical controversy. Ultimately, he used it to found the Coca-Cola Company.

Candler purportedly altered the recipe slightly. He then locked it inside a giant vault that is impossible to enter. It is possible to get close to the high-tech vault, as the company allows visitors to view an exhibit within its vicinity. However, the recipe is one of the most closely guarded secrets in the world, so chances are you will never get to see inside that vault.

The Ark of the Covenant contains the ten commandments given to Moses. According to the bible, it once stood in the Holy of Holies in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. However, it became lost for thousands of years. There has been much speculation as to its whereabouts, but one claim is that a small church in Ethiopia, called the Chapel of the Ark of the Covenant, keeps it hidden inside.

The legend asserts that Menelik, the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, transported the ark to this little town called Aksum. Eventually, they built a chapel to house it. It is impossible to find out if this claim is true. This is because no one is permitted to access the chapel.

The only exception to the rule applies to a single virgin monk instructed to guard it for his entire life. This guard is forbidden from leaving the chapel grounds until he dies. Additionally, it is prohibited even for the Head of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Royalty, and Heads of State from viewing it. So chances are you never will too.

North Sentinel Island

Mangroves cover a tiny island in the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean. As well, white beaches and coral reefs surround the exotic location. It certainly sounds like it would be an prime holiday destination. Except, humans are forbidden to visit there. Touted as the most dangerous tribe on earth, the Sentinelese murdered a couple of fishermen who had illegally sailed their boats within the island’s vicinity.

The Indian government had made previous attempts to befriend the tribe but to no avail. Experts estimate that 300 people are members of the tribe. Their culture, including what exactly goes on on the island, remains a complete mystery. The Indian government prohibits entry from the outside world.

Understandbly, there is grave concern that the outside world would pass on diseases to this community for which they have not built immunity. To visit would be a form of cruelty to these mysterious people.  Therefore, it is entirely reasonable that it is forbidden to enter.

A source of great speculation and concpiracy theories is the existence of this underground train-line 200m underneath Moscow. With tunnels that possibly extend into the towns in the surrounding countryside. Theorists speculate that Stalin constructed this secret subway. Additionally, it is assumed that it runs parallel to the regular Moscow Metro, and gave it the codename D-6.

It supposedly connects the Kremlin, the airport, the Federal Security Services headquarters – and even an entire underground town. The Federal Security Services neither deny nor confirm the existence of the subway. Additionally, many intrepid urban explorers have laid claim to having found it and explored it.

The US Department of Defense has also claimed it exists. They even released a report about it in 1991. This report stated that the Soviets intended to use it for evacuation purposes in the event of nuclear war. Nevertheless, secrecy shrouds these tunnels. Consequently, many legends and tales emerge about what is really down deep under Moscow in those tunnels. Are there giant rats down there? Nuclear missiles? Ghosts? Secret labs? The frozen body of Stalin himself? It is likely we will never know, as it is entirely forbidden for us to uncover all of these secrets.
