Each full moon becomes a spotlight upon every area of your life revealing how much your soul has experienced an evolution during your lifetime. But how can you take advantage of it?

Each full moon shines like a day of audit for your soul’s evolution. Once a month you can check to see if your soul managed to move up a level in the giant proverbial universal computer game, called life on planet Earth! Consequently, if you plan in advance, you can take advantage of the moon’s progression to being full, to bring to bloom your highest potential.

There are 12 archetypical core areas of your life in which your soul seeks to rectify and perfect, during its time on earth. Each full moon will reveal to you how you are progressing in these areas. In the table below, check to see what the latest full moon will mean for your zodiac sign. This can be your sun sign, rising sign, or moon sign. Also, if you are familiar with your natal chart, it can be the ruling sign of any house in which you have a significant number of planets within. The descriptions follow the chart.

How to read the chart and descriptions

Full moons occur in the sign opposite to the one that the sun is in at the time. We will use an example: If there is a full moon in Libra, this means that the sun is directly opposite it in the sign of Aries. Therefore, the full moon will occur during the dates in which the sun is in Aries. The signs and their opposing signs are as follows:

Aries (March 21 – April 19) is opposite Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Taurus (April 20 – May 20) is opposite Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Gemini (May 21 – June 20) is opposite Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
Cancer (June 21 – July 22) is opposite Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Leo (July 23 – August 22) is opposite Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Virgo (August 23 – September 22) is opposite Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

To demonstrate, if your zodiac sign is Gemini, during a full moon in Libra, which occurs while the sun is in Aries, you would need to read description number 11.

1. Your identity, and how it relates to compromising with others

This full moon will be similar to coming face to face with a mirror. However, on first impressions, you may not recognize the mirror for what it is. This proverbial mirror will likely show up in the form of a significant other, a business partner or an extremely close friend. How well you handle compromise will be a reflection of how much you have evolved. If you experience peaceful interactions, who you are evolving into has moved up a significant soul level.

2. Your value system, and how you use it to face your dragon

This full moon may make you feel as though you have to come face to face with one or more of your fears. You will be forced to become the hero that is required to slay the proverbial dragon, to retrieve whatever treasure it guards. If you succumb to fight or flight, it could be that your soul has not yet evolved to a state where you can emerge as a victorious hero in your life story. However, if you wish to attempt to evolve, you will most likely succeed if you work from the premise of your authentic value system. Fighting for what is most important to you will give you the bravery to defeat your fears and retrieve your treasure.

3. Your mental ability, and how you use it to expand your consciousness

This full moon may open your mind to new and foreign ideas. You may find yourself in a place, or with people, that are very different to yourself. Someone may present you with ideas that you have never considered before. If you experience cognitive dissonance, it could mean that your mental abilities have not yet evolved to meet the demands of higher or alternative information. However, if you wish to experience an evolution in the capacity of your thinking, learning, and communication, you will let yourself enjoy absorbing whatever you desire at the proverbial buffet of wisdom.

4. The soil of your past, and how it nurtures your future fruit

This full moon will let you discover how well you are doing when it comes to achieving your life goals. You will be forced to examine your foundations and the roots of the tree from which you have sprouted upon the earth. If you have been trying to achieve your life goals, while building your proverbial house upon the sand, you may notice that many of your dreams may get blown away. However, if you have been nurturing your foundations, you may well discover what a tremendous soul evolution you have had. It could be that you will come face to face with an elderly relative, or the state of things in your home will create a force that will make or break what you wish to achieve in life.

5. Your creative gifts, and how you offer them to humanity

This full moon brings to light whatever it is you do that impacts humanity as a whole. This could be the gifts and products of your creativity that you contribute to your community or circle of friends. Also, it could represent the children you have brought into the world, and what their impact on the greater world will be, or already is. If you have been shining your authentic light into the world, you will feel a strong sense of belonging. If you have felt as though you are at odds with the world, the most likely cause is that you are hiding your light and hoarding your gifts. Nobody, after all, is an island.

6. Being conscientious, and how this helps you avoid selfishness

This full moon, you may find yourself feeling a little overwhelmed by obligations. Potentially, many of your responsibilities have you wishing to run and hide in your cave. However, that cave may feel like it has a spotlight shining on it! Ultimately, everyone is responsible for turning the mundane cogs of their life. Paying taxes, bills, mortgage, health insurance, repair work, and maintaining a healthy diet, for example. Self-discipline is the key to making progress. Still, sometimes we may find ourselves feeling rundown or overwhelmed.

We usually have two choices: escapism or conscientiousness. If you have been conscientiously maintaining your health, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically, you will likely find that this full moon leaves you with a feeling of satisfaction that you have life under control. If this is not the case, it could be that you need to be more conscientious. It is time to convert some of your selfish habits into ones that instead serve the health, and ultimately evolution, of your “self.”

7. Being agreeable, but not losing your sense of identity

This full moon may bring to light whether or not you are sustaining healthy relationships with those you spend most of your time with. Potentially, this could be a significant other, a business partner or an extremely close friend. A healthy relationship is one where you can retain your identity without fear. Additionally, a healthy relationship means that you do not sacrifice any part of yourself out of laziness.

It could be that you have been projecting your needs and wants onto another person. If you assume it is their responsibility to provide those things, this full moon may make you feel as though you are either neglected or used and abused. However, the sole reason for this negative feeling is that you have given your power and identity away of your own volition. But, if you have been maintaining healthy relationships, this full moon could be a time of enjoying an evolution of the beautiful connections you have in your close relationships with others.

8. Your dark side, and how you use your values to control it

This full moon may cause you to come face to face with those things in yourself that long for decadence and sensual pleasure. Consequently, if you have not got a grip on your core values, you seek fleeting material or sensual fulfillment. However, what you really desire is long-lasting intimacy and connection. Everyone has a dark side, and there is a catalyst somewhere in the world that can cause that dark side to rear itself as a monster. If you have been living by your authentic value system, this full moon will show you how you are humble in the face of your humanity, and the humanity of others. If you have been in denial about your dark side, it may rear its head and create damage, debt or suffering to yourself, or even worse, to others.

9. Your wisdom, and how you teach it to others

This full moon will shine a light on whether or not you hoard or share your higher wisdom. Wisdom is similar to wealth, in that it becomes meaningless and worthless while hoarded. One can be miserly with their expertise, as much as they can be with their money if they keep it out of circulation. Additionally, hoarding wisdom and wealth under the proverbial floorboards can cause you to risk having it lose its value.

We all have a unique perspective to offer the world. Whatever meaning and faith we utilize to keep us feeling motivated to stay alive deserves sharing, as it is a life-giving force. However, there are ways and means. There is a saying: if you give a person a loaf of bread, they eat for a day. However, if you give that person seeds and a field, they eat for a lifetime. If you invest your wisdom in others similarly, this full moon will likely serve to expand the evolution of your consciousness even further.

10. Your life goals, and how to balance them with maintaining your base camp

This full moon will highlight whether or not you are achieving your dreams in life. Are you using your home as a place to stagnate in chaos? Or is it a secure launch pad for you to set out, and return, from your efforts to achieve your goals in life, and experience expansive soul evolution? When a mountaineer climbs Everest, they only do so by ensuring there is a base camp. A base camp serves as a place of preparation, recovery, safety and recharging before and after the climb. This full moon, if you feel like your life goals are leaving you exhausted, disillusioned and falling victim to escapism, it could be that you need to work on creating a base camp. On the other hand, you may feel you are really achieving your dreams. This likely means you are paying attention to keeping your foundations secure and peaceful.

11. Your connection to humanity, and how it inspires your talents

This full moon reveals how much of what you offer the world is authentically from your soul. Do you offer your talents and gifts to the world like they are a unique missing puzzle piece? Or are you not being true to yourself, and blindly following the crowd? Feeling like you are merely on a factory production line shows that you have been submitting yourself as a slave in a system that could stagnate with no change. If you are not providing your gifts and talents, humanity is currently experiencing a loss. This full moon will ask you to experience the evolution of giving of yourself for the greater good. It may well reveal to you precisely what you should be offering.

12. Your blind-spots, and how to become responsible for them

This full moon causes you to contemplate exactly how well you have been getting your act together. Every person has an area of life where they feel disillusionment. And sometimes, you may not even realize they feel disillusioned about it. Likely, much to your annoyance, it is something that others try to point out to you! At this time, you will see how whatever it is you feel disillusioned with is acting as a blind-spot. This obstacle tripping you up is preventing you from fulfilling your responsibilities. Therefore, this full moon serves as an audit, whereby you analyze how well you are taking responsibility for yourself. For example, what excuses might you be making? Such excused become like sticks and stones caught in the cogs of your life. Now is the time to clean out the debris for the sake of your soul’s evolution.
