People we have grown to love because of their enormous talent. Thankfully, many of those celebs that we love have survived brushes with death. Not only are they able to continue entertaining us, they also can inspire us with what they discovered on “the other side“.

A distracted van driver accidentally ran into Stephen King in 1999, whilst he was out on a walk. He required surgery after experiencing a life threatening punctured lung. He also broke his hip and his leg. King never pressed charges.
Dustin Hoffman had no idea he was living next door to a terrorist group. In the days before fame and fortune, Hoffman had a split-second brush with death as he left his apartment. His apartment building exploded the minute he walked out onto the street. The terrorist group had accidentally set a bomb off.
Jayne Seymour died briefly when she was still a young actress. While filming a movie she caught bronchitis. The hospital accidentally put antibiotics into her vein, instead of her muscle. Seymour remembers floating above her body, and seeing a white light. Miraculously a nurse saved her life, after she had gone into anaphylactic shock.
When Johnny Depp almost died, the film crew for the movie he was working on caught it on camera. He was filming a scene from The Lone Ranger, and chosen to not use a stunt double. He fell off his horse and was almost trampled to death, but the horse tried to avoid this. He was still dragged for over 20 meters.
Drew Barrymore was lucky to escape a house fire in 2001. It was her barking dog that alerted her and her fiancé to the danger and they got out in time. The fire was so intense it took 11 fire trucks to put out the flames.
Due to a health and safety breach on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Harrison Ford had a brush with death. Luckily an emergency stop button prevented his death, but he still ended up with two broken bones in his leg. A giant hydraulic door had come down unexpectedly and hit him on the hip and flipped him onto the floor.

Even though she felt safe, and could see deceased loved ones on “the other side“, she chose to fight to come back to life. Tracy Morgan ended up in a coma for a week after a frightening car crash. His near death experience changed his life forever. Morgan reports that he spent time with his father, on the other side, and felt the true love that underlies all.
Leonardo DiCaprio describes himself as a cat with 9 lives. He once survived a close encounter with a great white shark that entered his diving cage. On another occasion, an engine exploded on a flight to Russia that he was traveling on. There was also the time he went skydiving and found out his parachute was faulty. The back up chute only worked at the last minute – he thought he was gone for sure.
