Did you know there are huge celebs with a secret twin?
Below we take a look at 5 huge celebs who shared a womb with a twin that generally prefers to hide from the limelight. Some go to great lengths to maintain their privacy, and others live radically different lives despite being born within minutes of a sibling that would shoot to the heights of fame and fortune.
1. Scarlett and Hunter Johansson
Scarlett Johansson has been gracing our cinema screens since 1994. So talented and popular is this actress, she was officially titled the highest-grossing actress in North America – of all time – this November.
A little-known fact is that Scarlett has a twin brother. If you have observed Scarlett closely on occasion, you would have seen him accompany her on red carpets and to other events. Hunter also tried out acting when he was a preteen, and starred alongside his sister in Manny and Lo.
However, Hollywood was not for him. Instead, Hunter decided to get into politics. In 2008 he worked to re-elect Barak Obama during his campaign. Additionally, he has joined his sister to undertake charity work. The Twins hosted a fundraiser after in 2014 to raise money for those adversely affected by Hurricane Sandy.
2. Gisele and Patricia Bündchen
Gisele Bündchen has made a career for herself as a supermodel and is once one of the wealthiest and most sought-after models in the world. She has tried her hand at acting and is active doing much charitable work.
However, a little-known fact is that 5 minutes after she was born, her sister Patricia was born. Patricia did dabble in modeling for a brief time, but it was not for her. She does still work within the fashion industry, however, as Gisele’s manager.
Additionally, since Gisele’s retirement from the runway, Patricia has helped her maintain a career within the industry by starting a lingerie company and keeping Gisele’s face in print.
3. Keifer and Rachel Sutherland
Keifer Sutherland has been following in his father Donald’s movie star footsteps since he gained a lead role in The Bay Boy in 1984. His talent and popularity saw him becoming a regular face in teen films in the 80s, and he was considered a member of that generations “brat pack.”
His adult career still goes from strength to strength, and he also has a strong presence behind the camera too.
Behind the camera is where you will find the twin you likely never knew he had. Yes, Keifer shared a womb with sister Rachel. Rachel, however, never had any inclination to act or live a celebrity lifestyle, but instead wished to enjoy show business behind the scenes.
Rachel has worked in the film industry in many capacities over the years. But more recently she works extensively in post-production. Her resume includes TV series such as The Day of the Triffids, Lost Girl, Saving Hope, and most recently Mary Kills People.
4. Ashton and Michael Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher started his acting career when he got his acting break in the popular comedy TV show That ’70s Show in 1998. He went from strength to strength and gained popularity after his lead role in Dude, Where’s My Car. He has since proven his talents in more serious films.
Additionally, very few people are aware that Ashton also has a twin brother. Michael Kutcher is a motivational speaker and fights for the funding and rights of cerebral palsy charities. Doctors diagnosed him with a mild form of cerebral palsy as a toddler. He also nearly lost his life and received a heart transplant.
Ashton and Michael have an especially close relationship. Both express how the other has taught them strength and filled them with motivation to carry on.
5. Vin Diesel and Paul Vincent
Vin Diesel is the quintessential action star, and we are most familiar with him in the Fast and Furious film franchise. But he is more than this, as he has also made a career for himself behind the camera by taking on the roles of director, screenwriter, and producer.
A couple of years ago rumors began to spread that a picture of Diesel’s secret twin had surfaced. The image when viral and he was forced to set the record straight. The picture wasn’t of his twin brother, but he revealed that he did indeed have one. He posted a real photo of his twin to Facebook to put the conspiracy theories to rest.
Paul Vincent prefers to keep a low profile, however. He has chosen a much less action-packed career than his brother and instead works behind the scenes as a producer.
